Guys I am so excited about this I can not contain myself :la:
I tried a new painting style of mecha I have seen so many other artists use and somehow thought I am not professional or skilled enough to pull it off! But...this was incredibly easy and it came out looking so good!
I think I reached a new level of skill, I am so happy! :la:

Maybe later I will paint the whole body and re-upload this dude when he's done!

I dunno, it just reminds me of groudon when I look at it. It's still beyond awesome though

It really does look like the re-design of Eva unit 2. XD

Beautiful work.

this design kicks a lot of ass. great work.

What painting method did you use? I've seen some artists make a silhouette of their mech and then paint in the finer details, like armor, weapons and circuitry. I've been experimenting with this method myself recently. Is that what you did?

I think that sounds like what I did pretty much. I was just practicing and didn't know what I was doing so just splurged a black mass to look sort of humanoid and then patched on red shaped for armor then as you said started refining. It looks very professional when done

I completely agree. The only thing I'm having difficulties is making the edges of my machines look sharp and not wobbly.
