About time I make myself a brand new watermark eh? This time I have two designs.
The top one is a higher resolution and more skilled version of the one I have in play right now. The bottom one is a totally new design that is part of a larger tribal I was commissioned to do, but was never payed.
I believe as digital artists we should all label our artwork before letting it go onto the internet. It does not have to be fancy, or cover the entire picture, but even your name on the side, written legibly. How often have I come across beautiful pictures on the internet with no watermarks or a scribbly signature in a corner that I cannot read? What if I wanted to watch that artist, or follow them, work with them, or buy some of their artwork? By watermarking the first copy you send out onto the internet you are protecting it as best you can, and no matter how far it goes your name travels just as far. Then again the larger and more prominent the watermark the better is does against art thieves. I think even if you upload somewhere just a sketchy drawing, that drawing is still yours and you can at least write your name or screen name or your website in the corner.
*ehum* Anyhow...How I made these was I just found a picture of the Liger Zero that I liked, blew it up to the resolution I need, and created the tribal bits from the shapes and shading of its armor with the pen tool. One piece at a time. Its easy a quick. Then I colored it very dark gray and added a stroke option on it to outline it in teal.
But to be honost, it is because the Liger is a god
And yes, yes you are a god.
And pic-related, how do you make your watermarks? Freehand drawing? Vectorwork?
Just messing around with tools? XDIt looks so good. ;A;
